Biography

"Sometimes people come together. Sometimes they drift apart. We'll help pave the way for your transition."

Jessica is a founding member of Oney & Kim, PLLC, where she compassionately guides clients through both positive and difficult transitions that families face.

Jessica provides strong and compassionate representation to family law clients seeking or going through a divorce, modification or establishment of custody or parenting time, a modification or establishment of child support, or a step-parent adoption. She has successfully assisted non-custodial parents in obtaining increased parenting time and concerned parents in obtaining orders for protection. Jessica has drafted and executed wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for both low-income clientele and those with significant assets.

Jessica has demonstrated a dedication to public service by volunteering over 150 hours of pro bono service assisting pro se litigants at the Hennepin County Family Justice Center and preparing tax returns for low-income individuals through AccountAbility Minnesota.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Jessica has received extensive training in family mediation and uses her prior experience as a Rule 114 qualified mediator to assist clients in negotiating divorce settlements and creating customized custody and parenting time schedules in the best interests of their children.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and their 3 children. Jessica also enjoys a passion for music performance and multi-cultural experiences through international travel.
